Xero have introduced a few new features which will definitely save some headaches. One which we have been excitingly awaiting is the Global Search feature – no more trolling through multiple bank accounts trying to find transactions, you can now search the entirety of Xero easily!
You will see as pictured below this search symbol. Once you click on it, you can type in anything and it will search amongst contacts, invoices, bills and bank transactions – this is a massive time saver and something that Xero have been working on for some time.
The above feature has not officially been released so further updates to come on this – we just couldn’t contain our excitement!
Another area that Xero have improved is the way leave is accrued in the employee file. This will no longer appear on the pay template – it will be under the Leave tab. You can therefore set up your leave accruals through here rather than in the pay template. There is also a new Payroll > Leave screen which allows you to submit leave requests for multiple employees.
