Recently some of the team at HTA Advisory attended Xerocon which is the biggest event of its kind in Australasia.
It’s an event where we are introduced to the latest technology and products for Xero Accounting Software and can explore the Xero eco-systems with all of the Add-ons on show.
We have provided you with a quick summary below of everything coming our way!
It was exciting to learn what is coming over the next few months with the accounting system and we have provided you with a quick summary below:

Global search
- We are excited about this function which will allow you to search the entirety of Xero including invoices, amounts, contacts etc with one search bar rather than having to be in the correct area of Xero

Contacts revamp
- The contacts screen and details about contacts are set to get a revamp. You will be able to see the full activity of contacts and the whole look of this section will change – in a good way!

Xero Me payroll app
- Xero have already released an app called ‘Xero Me’ – this can be downloaded from the App Store for free, and is for employees to view their payslips & request leave. The ability for employees to enter timesheets on the app is coming soon!

Auto Reminders for invoices
- There will be a new section in Xero which will allow you to set up auto email reminders to customers who don’t pay on time – this will be able to be customised if there are certain customers you don’t want to send reminders to also. This is a great timesaving tool and allows you to worry about your business rather than chasing debts.

All of the above will be arriving in the next 90 days, and there will be more detailed updates on the above as they are released.
In the meantime, rest assured that Xero is working very hard on updating the system to be as automated as possible to allow you to focus on YOUR business and doing what you’re good at.
