This month we introduce you to House of Uniforms
Established in 2004, House of Uniforms is an Australian owned Uniform, Promotional Clothing and Promotional Products manufacturer and supplier.
House of Uniforms not only sell clothing, uniforms and related accessories, they also sell promotional products and will brand and print items with your artwork or logo. They offer in house embroidery, screen printing, digital transfers and design and custom make in-house short runs among many other items.
This afternoon I had the opportunity to speak with one of the Directors from House of Uniforms, Andrew Scott.
Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me, as I’ve highlighted above we know a little about what you do but can you tell me how you both came about working in this industry and starting House of Uniforms?
With an interest in Art, Design and Graphics and Selena working for a manufacturing company we set out upon opening our own surf brand street wear where we manufactured items from scratch. As time went on we started to notice that customers loved our products but were more interested in having them branded with their own logo. It is from there that House of Uniforms was created.
With this shift in our business we are ordering and printing on demand.
For us, resources and the time and money to be able to develop and grow are big factors in achieving growth. We have recently completed internal restructuring and have built our team to include a broad range of skills and interests. If our team is interested in developing something we’ll run with it and get them to work on certain projects, if it’s something they are passionate about, then this will be reflected in the work completed.
We experiment a lot with internal projects and ideas and like to give things a go while also investing in ourselves, equipment and further developing our team. In doing this we ensure we remain at the head of the industry.
With other clothing and uniform competitors out there how do you stand out from the crowd?
One of our motos is “We can brand anything” and we stand by that as we can assist clients with company branding across a range of items not just clothing. We have our own onsite in house production facility which covers design, branding and manufacturing. We also assist businesses to create looks which are unique to them regarding their uniforms. We sit down with clients to get an understanding of their vibe, brand and ideal look. We then put together suitable and appropriate suggestions and guide the client through the entire process.
We have flexibility and complete all branding in house whereas others outsource the majority of their work. Because we do everything in house we can complete small runs of particular products for clients.
We have our own sewing facility so can personalise items and create unique and complete uniform concepts for our clients.
What is something that you see is going to assist with your future growth plans and aspirations?
We are working towards building partnerships and would like to create better internal networks with our clients to encourage them to grow.
Thank you so much for your time today, if anyone is interested in learning more about House of Uniforms or to see the massive range of products and services they provide check out their website.
