Following the commencement of Stage 4 restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne this week, the Victorian government has released a $10,000 Business Support Fund Expansion program. This is in addition to the first round of the Business Support Fund, which closed on 1 June 2020. If you are located in regional Victoria and are affected by the implementation of Stage 3 restrictions, you will also be able to apply for this grant however the amount is reduced to $5,000.
Businesses will be able to apply for this grant if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Operate a business located in metropolitan Melbourne or regional Victoria
- Be a participant in the Commonwealth Government’s JobKeeper Payment scheme
- Employ people
- Be registered with WorkSafe on 30 June 2020
- Have an annual payroll of less than $3 million in the 2020 financial year on an ungrouped basis
- Be registered for GST as at 30 June 2020
- Hold on ABN and have held that ABN at 30 June 2020
- Be registered with the responsible Federal or State regulator
